The LaCascata resident is charged with injuring a police officer and multiple counts of assaulting police officers.
Police believe a LaCascata man who allegedly picked up and slammed an officer into a table and later assaulted several other officers Sunday night was under the influence of a narcotic during the incident. Ibrahim Dao, 28, contacted 911 at 7:58 p.m. Sunday to request help, according to police. Responding officers were met by Dao, who was standing on a staircase in his home, sweating profusely, yelling incoherently, according to Gloucester Township Police Capt. Anthony Minosse. Police characterized Dao as upset and disoriented. Police charge the victim and two suspects in an alleged drug deal that turned into a robbery at LaCascata Saturday afternoon.
Gloucester Township Police have charged three people in an alleged drug deal gone bad at LaCascata Saturday afternoon. At approximately 2:51 p.m. Saturday, a Pine Hill man contacted Gloucester Township Police Department to report he had been robbed at gunpoint at the LaCascata townhouse community, located off Kelly Drivers Lane. The robbery victim admitted he was robbed while attempting to purchase drugs, Sgt. Dominic Coppola said. He claimed he was robbed of $1,400 by a male and a female. Police located the female suspect in the area and took the victim and suspect back to the police station for questioning. A 34-year-old man was charged in Gloucester and Winslow townships following his initial arrest at La Cascata Townhouses.
A Winslow Township man was charged last weekend with multiple drug offenses following his arrest at La Cascata Townhouses. A subsequent joint investigation by officers with the Gloucester Township and Winslow Township police departments resulted in the recovery of a handgun and hollow-point bullets from the man's home in Winslow's Atco section. Gloucester Township Police Ptl.
