Mainstage Center for the Arts thespians will bring the true story of Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan's groundbreaking work to life. Performances continue through Feb. 16.
Mainstage Center for the Arts submitted the following information on its production of The Miracle Worker: “At the beginning I was only a little mass of possibilities. And ukulele meet up clubs have popped up in southern New Jersey, Philadelphia, and the Main Line. Riding the wave of the ukulele’s popularity is one of the instrument’s most accomplished musicians, Daniel Ho. Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, this six-time Grammy award winner has not traveled to the East Coast in four years. However, on Nov. 18, he’ll be in Gloucester Township teaching a ukulele workshop and presenting a concert for Mainstage Center for the Arts. Alan Okami, president of KoAloha Ukulele, will co-instruct the workshop. “In the last few…

Local artist Karl Wirtz will be creating a sand sculpture for this Sunday's Blackwood Pumpkin Festival, after all. "He's going to repair the sculpture he worked on over the weekend," Stacy Napolitano, public relations professional for Pumpkin Festival organizer Mainstage Center for the Arts, said. So, the festival mainstay will still be a part of the annual Black Horse Pike event despite last Sunday's rainout. With Wirtz confirming he'll be participating, a full slate of performances scheduled, and the costume parade and contest still a go, it's not looking like such a bad thing organizers postponed Blackwood Pumpkin Festival by a week. In fact, if you look at the weather forecast, it looks like it was a great decision. While it was in the…
