Former Councilwoman Due in Court Next Month
Crystal Evans' case is scheduled to be heard in Winslow Township Municipal Court.
Crystal Evans will get her day in court next month. The former Gloucester Township councilwoman was arrested in early November on charges alleging she harassed and frightened a township woman throughout 2012. The case was reviewed at the Superior Court level, due to the initial indictable stalking charge police filed against Evans, but ultimately was bounced back to the municipal court level, Gloucester Township Municipal Court Administrator Patty Carroll said Wednesday. Evans was not indicted. Evans' case will be heard in Winslow Township due to the potential for a conflict of interest, given her past role as Gloucester Township councilwoman from 2008 through 2011.
