Police seek the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly shoplifted 18 cans of baby formula from ShopRite on Blackwood-Clementon Road. The incident happened around 6 p.m. April 12. Police said a medium-skinned black man with facial hair, wearing a dark T-shirt and blue pants with a yellow stripe pulled into the ShopRite parking lot in a late 1990s green four-door Ford Explorer. After parking on the far side of the lot, the man entered the store through the exit doors. A Glassboro couple was arrested and charged with shoplifting in the township after police received tips from social media, authorities said Tuesday. Kristopher Green, 26, and Kimberly Wilmore, 23, both of the unit block of Pennsylvania Ave., were charged with shoplifting. The couple is accused of stealing four video-game systems, worth $1,444, from the Kmart on Blackwood-Clementon Road on April 1. Police say Green unlocked a case the game systems were in, removed them from boxes and walked out of the store with coats on top of them in a cart. Police say several anonymous tips received over social media after posting information on Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms led to the arrests. Police release surveillance video showing a woman filling her handbag with items and leaving the Blackwood Clementon Road store without paying for them.
Police say a woman stole nearly $200 in goods from the Blackwood Clementon Road Rite Aid on Jan. 14. The problem for her is the crime was caught by the store's surveillance video cameras. Gloucester Township Police CrimeStoppers released the video to the public on Wednesday in hopes someone can identify the shoplifting suspect, described in a police statement as a stocky, white female with shoulder-length, dark hair. A Clementon man reportedly has confessed to stealing about $70 worth of hair-care products from the Blackwood Clementon Road Rite Aid, and authorities are crediting a tip from a social media follower with his arrest. On Tuesday, Gloucester Township Police posted photos of a male suspect and female suspect from a Sept. 13 shoplifting incident at the drugstore to a number of social media sites, including Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. It was a matter of minutes after posting photos of the two suspects that one was identified by the public, police said.
Police have charged two people, including a Gloucester Township woman, with stealing cigarettes from the Blenheim Wawa last month, and are crediting tips from the public with identifying the two people believed responsible for the theft. Police have released surveillance images of a man they say stole a prepaid AT&T cell phone from a Gloucester Township Rite Aid. The crime occurred around 10:25 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, according to a Gloucester Township Police Department Crime Stoppers announcement issued Monday morning. The suspect is described as a black male who is missing several teeth and had a bald head at the time of the shoplifting incident. One day after the release of surveillance footage, Gloucester Township Police charge two suspects with shoplifting in separate cases.
Gloucester Township Police were able to charge two suspected shoplifters on Thursday after releasing surveillance footage of the crimes just a day earlier. Cierra Phillips, a 20-year-old woman from Lindenwold was charged with shoplifting at Kmart on Blackwood-Clementon Road on Aug. 7. She and a female companion allegedly stuffed clothes into diaper bags in the women's changing room. Police are still searching for the other female in the incident. Sharon Green, a 40-year-old woman from Woodlynne, was charged with shoplifting at the ShopRite on Chews Landing Road on August 13.
