Camden County submitted the following news release: Jarvis Road (County Route 687) will be repaved from Sicklerville Road (County Route 705) to mile marker .75 in the vicinity of Maynard Drive in Gloucester Township. The work is scheduled to begin May 15, and it is anticipated to last for 45 calendar days. Gloucester Township Police say the pedestrians are in critical condition.
Police have identified the two pedestrians struck by cars in separate accidents in Gloucester Township about two hours apart Thursday night. Both men are listed in critical condition at Cooper University Hospital, in Camden, according to police. They are Gloucester Township residents. John Garland, 56, of Millbridge Gardens, was struck by a car at Blackwood Clementon Road and Kelly Drivers Lane, according to Gloucester Township Police Capt. Jeff Weiserth. Initial reports indicated Garland had sustained a fractured femur in the crash, which at approximately 6:50 p.m. Weiserth's statement on the accident noted Garland had sustained multiple injuries. A pedestrian is also hit by a car at Blackwood Clementon Road and College Drive Thursday night.
Two pedestrians were struck by cars in separate accidents in the Gloucester Township area Thursday night. The more serious accident occurred at around 9 p.m. at Garwood and Sicklerville roads. The victim in that accident reportedly sustained a serious head injury. A medical helicopter initially was called to the crash area, but was cancelled. The patient was taken to Cooper University Hospital, in Camden, by ambulance. The second pedestrian-involved car accident occurred at Blackwood Clementon Road and College Drive, at the Gloucester Township-Lindenwold border, at around 6:50 p.m. The victim in that accident reportedly sustained a broken femur, and also was taken to Cooper by ambulance.

Gloucester Township Police Department on Friday issued the following press release announcing that the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority has extended the sewer project along Berlin-Cross Keys Road by another week: CCMUA has advised that Berlin-Cross Keys Road will be closed for an additional period of time to complete the sewer line installation from the area of the Camden County Vocational School to Erial-New Brooklyn Road. A parade down Sicklerville Road in Winslow on Saturday will honor Jordan Burroughs, a local wrestler who won a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Sicklerville will honor Olympic gold medalist wrestler Jordan Burroughs on Saturday with a parade and celebration to celebrate his triumph in London. The parade will begin Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Chris Care Unit Missionary Church, head down Sicklerville Road and end at Winslow Township Elementary School 3. Burroughs, originally from Sicklerville, won his gold medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London back on Aug. 10 in the 74-kilogram weight class of freestyle wrestling. The two-time NCAA national champion won four straight matches, culminating in a win over Iran's Sadegh Saeed Goudarzi in the gold medal match. An Erial resident loses control of his car on Sicklerville Road on Saturday, overturning and crashing into a front yard.
A traffic accident that saw a vehicle crash through numerous properties along Sicklerville Road on Saturday afternoon left an Erial resident with only minor injuries. Michael Schuda, of Briar Creek Drive in Erial, lost control of his Jeep at about 3:15 p.m. on Aug. 18. Schuda's Jeep went through a number of residents' fences on the 1700 block of Sicklerville Road before rolling over and coming to a rest in front of a home on Noble Road. Gloucester Township Police reported on Monday that Schuda suffered minor injuries in the accident. There were no other victims involved in the crash.

A repaving project on Sicklerville Road begins Monday, July 25.
A repaving project will slow traffic on Sicklerville Road for the next few weeks. The milling and repaving of the road, also known as County Route 705, begins on Monday between Jarvis Road and the Route 42/Atlantic City Expressway overpass. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and will continue until Aug. 16. The road will be passable with an alternating traffic pattern. Motorists should expect delays and township police recommend that motorists seek an alternate route. Camden County is performing the road work.
The two-vehicle accident occurred near Garwood Road Wednesday night.
A township man was critically injured when his motorcycle and a car crashed on Sicklerville Road Wednesday night. The accident occurred in front of Villari's Lakeside Restaurant & Bar, near Sicklerville Road's intersection with Garwood Road, at around 7:05 p.m. John Williams, 37, of the township's Sicklerville section, was heading southbound on Sicklerville Road, toward Cross Keys Road, when he crashed his Suzuki motorcycle into the passenger side of a black Nissan Altima, according to Gloucester Township Police Cpl.
