Lindenwold Man Arrested After Allegedly Setting off Smoke Grenade

A Lindenwold man was arrested after setting off a grenade-shaped smoke bomb that led the county bomb squad being called out and the area around Springdale and Greentree roads being evacuated for about 45 minutes early Tuesday afternoon, Cherry Hill Police said. Eric Brown, 25, of the unit block of Brighton Avenue in Lindenwold, faces multiple charges for setting off the smoke bomb, which caused the evacuation of stores in Springdale Plaza and the closure of the intersection, police said. Officers spotted the smoke bomb, which was spewing white smoke, along the curb on the south side of the Friendly Food Mart in the Springdale Plaza just after 1 p.m., police said. Woman Drives Car Into Convenience Store

No one is injured when a woman allegedly drives a car into Friendly Food Mart Thursday around noon.

UPDATE, 12:02 p.m. 1/25: Friendly Food Mart has reopened after a woman drove her car into the store around noon Thursday. Police indicated Thursday afternoon the Gloucester Township building inspector had ordered the store remain closed until repairs could be made. ---------- No one was injured when a motorist drove her car through the front of the Black Horse Pike's Friendly Food Mart around noon Thursday, according to police. Police Seek Public's Help ID'ing Alleged Red Bull Thief

The shoplifting incident occurred at Friendly Food Mart last week.

Police are seeking the public's help identifying a man who allegedly stole a case of Red Bull energy drink from a Hilltop business last week. Gloucester Township Police on Monday posted surveillance video on YouTube that allegedly shows a man leaving Friendly Food Mart on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at around 1:50 p.m. without paying for a case of Red Bull. Police also posted still images of the suspect on the department's Facebook page. Anyone with information about the suspect or shoplifting incident is encouraged to call police dispatch at 856-228-4500 or the township's anonymous crime tip line at 856-842-5560.
