A Lindenwold man was arrested after setting off a grenade-shaped smoke bomb that led the county bomb squad being called out and the area around Springdale and Greentree roads being evacuated for about 45 minutes early Tuesday afternoon, Cherry Hill Police said. Eric Brown, 25, of the unit block of Brighton Avenue in Lindenwold, faces multiple charges for setting off the smoke bomb, which caused the evacuation of stores in Springdale Plaza and the closure of the intersection, police said. The shoplifting incident occurred at Friendly Food Mart last week.
Police are seeking the public's help identifying a man who allegedly stole a case of Red Bull energy drink from a Hilltop business last week. Gloucester Township Police on Monday posted surveillance video on YouTube that allegedly shows a man leaving Friendly Food Mart on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at around 1:50 p.m. without paying for a case of Red Bull. Police also posted still images of the suspect on the department's Facebook page.
