Kevin Cook is a full-time freelance photojournalist who is passionate about visual storytelling and enjoys exploring longer-term photo essays on social and political issues.
Kevin is interested in African politics and culture and has photographed in and traveled to South Africa (2009), Uganda (2010), Egypt (2012) and Kenya (2012).
He has done work for more than a dozen newspapers, magazines and Web sites, including The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Chronicle of Higher Education, ESPN Rise, the New York Post, the Courier-Post (NJ), Courier-Times (PA), Reading Eagle (PA), Inside Lacrosse and Northeast Times (PA). His work has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, NPPA, Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, ASMP, Photographer’s Forum Magazine, Temple University and the Philadelphia Daily News.
Kevin is a 2010 graduate of Temple University. He has a Bachelor of Arts in photojournalism and film and media arts. He will be beginning his Master's in Photojournalism at the University of Missouri in August 2012.
