Police Investigate Illegal Dumping in Gloucester Township

Dumping took place in the wooded area of the Lakeland Section of Gloucester Township near the model airplane field between March 21 and 26.

Gloucester Township Police are investigating illegal dumping in the wooded area of the Lakeland Section of the township.

An unknown individual or individuals dumped numerous large metal containers of printing ink, and other trash/ debris in the wooded area of the Lakeland Section of Gloucester Township near the model airplane field between March 21 and 26.

The majority of the containers were labeled "Superior Printing Inks", and all the containers appeared to be older as if they were in storage for many years.

A vehicle that entered and exited the area at a high rate of speed on the dirt road portion of Collier Drive twice on March 24 is under suspicion. The vehicle was in the area at 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. that day.

The vehicle is a white Ford F-250, short bed, with NJ Tags and a multi ball "Draw-Tite" trailer hitch. The vehicle entered the area both times with trash cans in the bed standing in the upward position, and left both times with those same cans laying down on their sides.
