Grab & Go Kids Planner: Bunny, Benefit, Beans, Boats

The area is hopping with lots of fun springtime events.

Get out and about this weekend with another round of (free!) Easter events, an Earth Day celebration and a seafarin' challenge.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Why Go: Grab your chickadees and hop to the Timber Creek High School cafeteria for pictures, balloons, activities, and an Easter egg hunt. For more information, call 856-232-9703.

Where/When: , April 16, 10 a.m. to noon

Why Go: If breakfast is too early for your sleeping heads, give the Easter Bunny Brunch a whirl at the Rec Center. Nosh on bagels and donuts while you get some one-on-one time with the big Bunny.

Alex's Lemonade Stand and Egg Hunt at Walmart
Where/When: Walmart locations throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including the Turnersville and Deptford locations; April 16, Lemonade stand 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., egg hunt starts at 3 p.m.

Why Go: Grab a cup of sweet lemonade, make a donation and help fund research into cures and safe treatments for childhood cancer. Stick around until 3 p.m. and your little ones can snag some treats during an Easter egg hunt! 

Cost: Free; donations of any amount to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

Green Festival in Collingswood
Where/When: Irvin Avenue, Collingswood, April 16, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Stroll along Irvin Avenue in Collingswood and learn all about going green, just in time for Earth Day. Pick up tips on organic gardening, resources on cloth diapering and learn more about becoming a locavore by eating local food. Dozens of vendors and local businesses will be present. Bring your kids to the "Kids Zone" so they can learn about a greener, cleaner lifestyle. Bonus points if you carpool or take PATCO.

Cost: Free; items for purchase

Seafarin' Saturday at the Independence Seaport Museum
Where/When: Independence Seaport Museum, 211 S. Columbus Blvd,, Philadelphia, April 16, 1 to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Swim over to Philly for the Seafarin' River Raft Challenge at the Independence Seaport Museum. Your challenge: Build a raft that will carry to safety as much crew and treasure as possible. Argh! 

Cost: Free with admission to museum ($12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $7 for children, less than 3 years old free)
