Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival

Escape to the Shore this weekend for fabulous food demos, cooking classes, wine tastings and celebrity chefs.

It is the perfect weekend to unleash your inner foodie and dive into fantastic food and wine in Atlantic City.

Hosted by Caesar's Atlantic City, Harrah's Resort, Bally's and Showboat, the Food Network Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival is a star-studded and delicious weekend escape. The event showcases renowned wine and spirit producers, local and national chefs, and celebrity foodies.

Keep your eyes open as you stroll through the casino—you might just bump into Food Network personalities like Guy Fieri (Diners, Drive-ins & Dives), Pat and Gina Neely (Down Home with the Neelys), Sunny Anderson (Cooking for Real), and Robert Irvine (Kitchen Impossible).

There are plenty of events all weekend long, so pick what fits your schedule and appetite. The signature don't-miss event is the Grand Market. The Grand Market, held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, will feature more than 125 stations of food, wine, beer and kitchen gadgets.

Be sure to check out the Grand Market's Restaurant Row, which will feature tastings from local restaurants including Fin, Copper Fish, Greate Bay Country Club, the Melting Pot, Villari's Bistro and Water Works. The Grand Market will also feature culinary demonstrations, the Italian Village (think an all-you-can-eat Italian market) and Robert Mondavi wines.

If you are in the mood to splurge, snag tickets to the ultra exclusive Chef Party held in the Foundation Room at the House of Blues. You are the guest of honor, as you rub shoulders with celebrity chefs from the Food Network and Cooking Channel. The event is held on Saturday from midnight to 2 a.m. Admission is $99 and includes signature cocktails.

And if you are in the mood to truly escape, stay the night (after all, no one should drive home in a food coma). Participating casinos are offering "One Delicious Rate," with hotel rooms starting at $109/night.

If you go, visit the festival website for more details, tickets and hotel links.
