Make Halloween Extra Special at Hello Gorgeous
The regional salon offers theatrical makeup just in time for Halloween.
Dying for something different this Halloween? Skip the traditional mask and treat yourself to professional make-up at Hello Gorgeous.
Hello Gorgeous has locations throughout the area, including on the Black Horse Pike in Blackwood.
For this Halloween weekend, though, take a trip over to the Deptford store, where professional theatrical makeup artist Natalie Foxhill will be taking appointments.
“Whatever or whoever you are going to be for the day, you can take it up to the next level,” said Foxhill.
Foxhill, who does theatrical makeup for performers and dancers, can turn you into whatever you want. She uses water-based cosmetics, which are safe for the skin.

The cosmetics have staying power, too, and can last for an entire day. Yet, says Foxhill, her makeup is easier to remove than traditional Halloween makeup you can buy at the Halloween store. Those makeups are often greasy and can irritate skin.
In addition to makeup application, Foxhill also can add things like horns or wounds to make you a little gruesome.

Hello Gorgeous general manager Tanya Westphal says that theatrical makeup and body art are a big trend in beauty. When it is not Halloween, brides can come in to get a temporary “something blue” tattoo for their wedding day, or anyone can come for body art. Foxhill can also draw art on someone’s body—art that can later be permanently tattooed on your body.
Still undecided on your Halloween costume? Foxhill says that vampires, geisha/Asian princesses, princesses and pirates are popular this year.
Appointments are still available for this weekend and Foxhill says she can paint a face in as fast as four minutes. To make an appointment call 856-718-3300.
