The annual community dinner will be held on Nov. 13 at Highland High School.

The eighth annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner, sponsored by , will be held on Nov. 13, from 1 to 6 p.m., in the Highland Regional High School Cafeteria.

"The Thanksgiving dinner is open to the whole community," said Kathy Kinney, wife of the senior pastor at Bethel Christian. "It is a great day to come together as a community and celebrate Thanksgiving."

Volunteers, including Mayor David Mayer, township officials and students from Highland, will serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner including turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and other fixings. There will be a variety of pies for dessert.

Kinney said the dinner typically feeds about 2,000-2,500. Leftover meals are taken to the Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden and delivered to whomever is hungry. In the past, food has been taken to 'Tent City' in Camden, which was shut down in April 2010.

The dinner is free and sponsored by Bethel Christian Center's Mission Outreach fund. Registration is not required.
